Because of the generosity of Sylacauga businesses and citizens, year after year Sylacauga is among the top preliminaries in the state of Alabama for awarding the most cash scholarships and in-kind donation. This support has afforded the young women of Sylacauga to further their education while offsetting, if not fully covering their college education. With the skyrocketing cost of post-secondary education, these scholarships lift a huge burden for the young women and their families.
It is our mission to continue to grow the college scholarship offerings, dual enrollment and career-ready financial support, as well as cash scholarships so that each candidate who applies will receive scholarships that will span well beyond the cost of their books.
If a cash scholarship is not a fit for your business or if you would like to also offer a product or service, in-kind donations are of great value. A list of in-kind donations needed or a sampling of donations is below.
In return, donors will receive recognition across all our social media platforms, featured on MissSylacauga.com for the full year between now and the next competition and a spotlight in the program book. Donor values greater than $250 will receive 2 tickets to the competition, greater than $500 will receive 4 tickets, and greater than $1000 will receive 6 tickets. Ticket confirmations will be mailed no later than 1 week prior to the event.
