Miss Sylacauga Rising Stars is a program of the Miss Sylacauga and Miss Sylacauga's Teen Competitions through which candidates act as mentors for young ladies ages seven (7) to eleven (11) (as of the date of the competition) and meet the same geographic requirements as listed on the eligibility section of  this website - click here.  All profits from Rising Stars participation fees go to support the Miss Sylacauga Organization.
 
The Rising Stars program is not a competition but rather a mentoring and learning platform.  Participants will receive:

​-- Rehearsal with the Miss Sylacauga and Miss Sylacauga's Teen Candidates on competition day
-- Participation onstage during the Miss Sylacauga and Miss Sylacauga's Teen Competitions
-- Photograph in the Miss Sylacauga program book
-- Autographed photograph of the current Miss Alabama
-- Crown jewelry
-- T-shirt
-- Certificate of Participation
-- One Rising Star participant will be randomly drawn on stage at the Miss Sylacauga Competition to be a Rising Stars to Miss Sylacauga during her year of service and at Miss Alabama.

IMPORTANT:  
Location:  Sylacauga High School.
We are limited to 30 Rising Star Participants.  Once we reach that limit, your candidate will be placed on a waitlist.

Rehearsals and day of:  Rising Stars should plan to arrive at Sylacauga High School on pageant day at 9:30 AM at the back entrance for check-in for rehearsals and activities.  Pick-up at the same back entrance check-in table at 2:00 PM.   Please arrive back at Sylacauga High School at the same check-in desk by 4:30 PM for photos with Miss Alabama.  A t-shirt to wear that day will be provided.   For the evening, Rising Stars should wear a white dressy/semi/formal dress for their on-stage presentation.  Rising Stars and their families will have a reserved seating section in the auditorium (the section in front of / beside the podium of the Mistress of Ceremonies).  Rising Stars admission is free.  Parents, please plan to purchase tickets here on the website (link to be added closer to the event) or at the door.
