- The On-Stage question will take place right after the opening number and the contestants will wear their opening number dress.
Health & Fitness
- Contestants will be presented in fitness apparel onstage.
- Contestants are expected to wear attire from Rebel Athletic - choosing a top and bottom from the below website. All outfits will be red. Please plan accordingly and order well enough in advance to receive by competition day. If you intend on competing in multiple preliminaries, the good news is that you can order and use the same outfit repeatedly. Visit Rebel Athletic to order your outfit (must order from the Miss America page). When selecting your items and checking out, you must enter the Miss Alabama code: MAOALGB. If you have any issues or concerns about ordering this outfit, please contact Kim Todd at 216.702.0093.
- No fitness routine required now. Contestants will do an upbeat modeling walk on stage.
Talent/HERStory
- This presentation of talent/HERStory can be up to 90 seconds in length.
- Click here for more information HERStory. HERStory is an alternative to a typical fine arts talent presentation.
- Talent can also still be a traditional fine arts talent (dance, vocal, piano, twirling baton, monologue, etc.) -- NEWLY approved talents are Ballroom and Extreme Cheer (both including partners, but contact Kim Todd at 216.702.0093 to discuss the details and guidance around this).
Evening Gown
- The contestant can wear an evening gown of her choosing that allows you to exhibit your own personal style, attitude, personality, grace, presence, and confidence. Neither the gown itself nor the estimated cost of the gown will be considered in scoring.
